I agree with you Michael. Five years for a restaurant is too far out. And that I one of the reasons I’m passing on this one.

The recently posted Hugh O'Connors (Eldridge) term note has a higher investment return compared to this. I am canceling my investment and moving my funds to the Hugh O'Connors offering. Thanks!

I'm relatively new and naïve to investing in restaurants so please don't crucify me for my honest question. I know most bars and restaurants see their success or failure relatively quickly within the first year or two. Is it normal to have a 5 year m ...

Is this loan secured with collateral?
Christopher
This would look much more attractive with a multiple of 1.5x or higher, even if less than $450k is raised. At 1.4x and 60 months, it's difficult to justify vs. comparable nextseed investments. Hope it gets above $450k and I'll be sure to invest.
Nathan
You can always cancel your investment if it doesn't get to $450k and you aren't interested unless it does.

I'm just looking for a clarification on the senior lien on "certain equipment". That's far too vague insomuch as it could be a wand mixer or the walk-in. Any ballpark valuation on the equipment covered by this lien once it's specified? Thanks!
Thomas
Great question, I would also like to hear the answer.

Nathan, I’m not from Houston and am curious why you think the location is a , ‘miss’?
Nathan
Is the location set? If so, I feel this was a big miss on the part of Carmelo’s team.
Travis
Yes and it has been at that location for 30+ years
Victoria
I agree. I believe the location is a miss and renovating an old location, in an area hit hard by Harvey, would not be in my best interests.

Hi Nathan,

I live in the area, actually less than 2 miles away from Carmelo’s, and truly believe in this market. It is one of the most underserved communities in regards to quality restaurants and bars and the residents are extremely suppor ...

Hi Victoria,

This area bounced back so quickly and came together in such an impressive manner after Harvey (I had 5 ft. of water in my house for 2 weeks). So much so that property taxes are already creeping up as well as the areas real estate v ...
