Account Opening Requirements and Options

To become an investor on NextSeed, anyone over the age of 18 with a U.S. social security number and U.S. residential address can create a NextSeed investment account.

This account is where you will monitor your investments and manage your funds.

Why do I need to create a NextSeed investment account?

You need to create a NextSeed investment account in order to make investments and receive any payments. All investments are made from available funds in your NextSeed investment account. Any business payments for debt investments or distributions for preferred equity investments will be deposited directly into your NextSeed investment account.

Why do I need to provide my SSN?

Your NextSeed investment account is provided by our banking partner, GoldStar Trust Company. GoldStar is required to verify your identity according to federal Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

This is also why, at this time, only U.S. residents will be able to create NextSeed investment accounts.

Why do I need to link my own account?

You will need to link your bank account in order to easily transfer funds in and out of your NextSeed investment account. Deposits and withdrawals are free via ACH and can be made at any time.

You can create three types of accounts on NextSeed:

1. An individual investment account

2. An entity investment account

3. A self-directed IRA investment account

The uninvested cash in your account is FDIC-insured up to $250,000 by our partner bank.

We safeguard your information with bank-level security measures.
