Why do I need to be an Accredited Investor in Order to Invest?

If you are investing in a Regulation Crowdfunding debt/equity offering, you do not need to be accredited. Industry regulations allow anyone to invest in a Regulation Crowdfunding offering, but the amount you are allowed to invest is capped based on your income and net worth. However, if you want to invest in a 506(c) debt/equity offering under Regulation D, industry regulations state that only verified accredited investors can participate in these investments. There is no limit to the amount you can invest in a Regulation D offering.

You can verify your accredited investor status in your Account Center by going to Profile > Limits
